I am allowed 32 points currently.

What I ate:
tandoori rice pilaf (3 points)
tacos (16 points)
cupcake (3 points)

Total points: 22

Cups of water: 6

My thoughts:
I had 12 points left at the end of the day. It’s usually how Sunday is. Usually I just have breakfast and dinner because church is right during lunchtime this year. I ate a small piece of a cupcake this time so I didn’t have the horrible sugar rush or the sick feeling afterwards. Definitely better!

Normally, I would have probably eaten about the same amount, except I would have had a whole cupcake. Maybe I would have had some chips in the evening (I was not hungry without them). Total points wouldn’t have been more than 30 anyway. I think that’s the first time since I went back on Weight Watchers that my old way of eating wouldn’t have exceeded my daily point allotment.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Heather @ CamianAcademy @ 3:34 pm

Sunday, June 28, 2009 was my fourth weigh-in.

266 pounds (-3 pounds, -12 total)

Bust: 49″ (-1″, -5″ total)
Waist: 43 1/2″ (-1/2″,-4 1/2″ total)
Hips: 50″ (-1″, -4″ total)
Upper Arm: 16 1/2″ (-1/4″, -1/2″ total)
Lower Arm: 8 1/2″ (no change, -1/2″ total)
Thigh: 26 1/2″ (-1/2″, -2 1/2″ total)
Calf: 12 3/4″ (no change, -1/4″ total)

I currently am wearing size 24, but I need a 22 or maybe even a 20. I can pull my jeans on and off without unzipping!

I am allowed 32 points currently.

What I ate:
hard-boiled eggs (6 points)
Cheetohs (8 points)
cupcakes (14 points)
pizza (20 points)

Total points: 48

Cups of water: 8

My thoughts:
I went over on my points by 16. This was planned because it was my little boys’ birthday party. I figure I’ve been really good for 3 weeks so being bad for one day wouldn’t kill me. Though maybe it would. I ended up so sick!

The Cheetohs gave me a stomachache. They always do, but I like them. The cupcakes were really good, but the intense sugar in the icing made me super nauseas. The massive amounts of cheese on the pizza made me sick, too. I’m just not used to that sort of food anymore!

Even going way over my points, I still was better than I usually would have been. I would have had way more Cheetohs. At least twice as much. I would have had at least two more cupcakes and at least two more slices of pizza. Total points would have been at least 75 points!

What I ate:
egg sandwich (4 points)
rice cakes (3 points)
shepherd’s pie (10 points)
spaghetti with salsa sauce (9 points)
pudding (2 points)

Total points: 28

Cups of water: 8

My thoughts:
I had four points left. I was not hungry at all. Normally I would have eaten about 40 points. I would have had a lot more pudding!

I am allowed 32 points currently.

What I ate:
egg sandwich (6 points)
biscuits (2 points)
rice cakes (1 point)
hot dog (6 points)
baked beans (2 points)
popcorn (2 points)
shepherd’s pie (10 points)
one-half regular Rita’s lemonade Italian ice (3 points)

Total points: 32

Cups of water: 12

My thoughts:
I used all my points for the day. The hot dog was utterly unsatisfying. I was surprised the Italian ice was so high in points. I could have had a whole Cold Stone Like It sorbet for the same number of points as half the Italian ice! My mom and I shared it.

Normally I would have had more baked beans and a second hot dog at lunch. The egg sandwich would have had two eggs and two slices of cheese. I would have had a whole large Italian ice and more shepherd’s pie. Total points would have been around 55.

What I ate:
egg sandwich (5 points)
popcorn (1 point)
pasta with meat sauce (10 points)
dijon chicken salad (9 points)
biscuits (3 points)
Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich (2 points)

Total points: 30

Cups of water: 12

My thoughts:
I had two points left at the end of the day. I also got in my goal of 12 cups of water. I drink a glass of water (each glass holds just over 2 cups of water) before each meal and another during each meal. I noticed that my jeans are baggy even just out of the wash. Jeans shrink a little when washed and take a few hours to loosen up, but now tighter, just out of the wash, is loose on me. That’s pretty awesome!

I ate a more hearty lunch than usual in the hopes I’d avoid my normal 4 o’clock slump. It worked. Normally I would have had about 60 points. I would’ve eaten two egg sandwiches, microwave popcorn, and more biscuits and I would have slathered them with butter.

I am allowed 32 points currently.

What I ate:
waffles (4 points)
chicken salad sandwich (5 points)
1/2 cup baked beans (2 points)
6 cups popcorn (2 points)
chicken, corn, and black bean stoup (9 points)
5 crackers (1 point)
8 marshmallows (4 points)

Total points: 27

Cups of water: 4

My thoughts:
I had 5 points left at the end of the day. I really like marshmallows and they are relatively low in points (1/2 point each for the big ones). We had S’Mores for dessert. I actually don’t like S’Mores or even cooked marshmallows, so I ate mine “raw.” But, that’s one of the nice things about Weight Watchers. I could still have what I liked of what everyone else was eating. It’s about making better choices. Not about being deprived. I think that’s a big reason why Weight Watchers works.

The total points for the day wouldn’t normally have been significantly higher than I ate anyway. I probably would have had two egg sandwiches for breakfast and more baked beans at lunch. At dinner I probably would have had more crackers. I may or may not have had more marshmallows. Total points would have been about 35-40 points. Still too much, but not horrible. That’s one of the good things about the chicken, corn, and black bean stoup we had for dinner. It’s pretty low in points for how filling it is (unusual for a Rachael Ray recipe).

I am allowed 32 points currently.

What I ate:
egg sandwich (5 points)
chicken noodle soup (4 points)
salad with spritzer dressing (1 point)
popcorn (1 point)
skinny cow fudge bar (1 point)
hot dog (5 points)
picnic/everything else (15 points)

Total points: 32

Cups of water: 4

My thoughts:
I have a tendency to overeat at social functions. We went to a picnic at the beach for dinner. I was very careful not to overeat. Of course I’m not sure exactly how many points I had other than the hot dog and ice cream, but I’d estimate it was at the most 15 points so I didn’t go over my points for the day. We got an air popper so now I can have 3 cups of popcorn for one point. I love popcorn (it’s a good thing since it’s such a low point snack!).

Typically, I would have eaten around 50-60 points for the day. Most of the extra points would have been consumed at the picnic. I would have had much more potato salad and probably another hot dog. I would have had regular ice cream instead of the Skinny Cow kind.

What I ate:
pancakes and syrup (5 points)
eggs (3 points)
orange juice (2 points)
pasta (15 points)
sauce (6 points)
salad with spritzer dressing (1 point)

Total points: 32

Cups of water: 4

My thoughts:
I ate exactly the number of points I had. That’s hard to do on a Sunday since we really only have two meals on Sundays. The salad spritzer was surprisingly good. It made a nice, very low calorie, addition to my salad.

Typically I probably would’ve had about 60 points. I would have had more pancakes and more eggs and lots of regular dressing on my salad. When the kids had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before bed I probably would have had one even though I was not hungry and definitely didn’t need anything else.

Weigh-in Number 3

Filed under: Weights and Measures — Heather @ CamianAcademy @ 7:48 am

Sunday, June 21, 2009 was my third weigh-in. Again I managed to not weight myself all week, though I sure was tempted a couple times.

269 pounds (-3 pounds, -9 total)

Bust: 50″ (-1″, -4″ total)
Waist: 44″ (-2″,-4″ total)
Hips: 51″ (-2″, -3″ total)
Upper Arm: 16 3/4″ (no change, -1/4″ total)
Lower Arm: 8 1/2″ (-1/2″, -1/2″ total)
Thigh: 27″ (-1″, -2″ total)
Calf: 12 3/4″ (no change, -1/4″ total)

I currently wear size 24, but I would now very comfortably fit in a 22.

Me

I’ve now “lost” a point, so my daily point allowance is 32. I am super excited about that because it means I’m shrinking!
